What Clients Say

In their own words

We used the Document Map service before sitting down with a financial planner, and it made the whole meeting more useful. My husband and I came in with the actual papers rather than vague memory of what we had. The coordinator was careful and did not rush us — the gap note turned out to be the most valuable part, because it told us exactly what we still needed to locate.

The Archive and Handover engagement was substantial — twelve sessions over about ten weeks — but at the end we had something we never had before: a clear, organised set of papers that my wife and I can both find our way around. The handover document was written simply enough that my son in Singapore could also understand it. The only thing I would say is that you need to be prepared for the inventory phase, which surfaces a lot of things you had forgotten about.

I attended the workshop series with my sister. We both came away with a working filing system that we actually use — which was not something either of us managed on our own before. The workshop on scanning and digital storage was particularly practical. The coordinator was clear about what the workshops covered and what they did not, and referred us to a licensed adviser for questions about our individual entitlements.

After my father passed, my siblings and I spent two weeks looking for papers that should have been straightforward to find. That experience made me want to do things differently for my own household. The Document Map was a good starting point — it took one morning and cost a fixed amount. I found the process more straightforward than expected.

My mother's papers had accumulated for thirty years across several properties and she was not in good health to help us make sense of them. The Archive engagement gave us a structure we could work from. It was not a fast process and required the household to be available for sessions, which took some planning. But at the end we had an indexed archive, a labelled physical set and a document my brothers could read and understand.

I initially came for the Workshop Series but ended up booking the Archive engagement after the first session because the coordinator helped me understand how much material my wife and I actually had. The bureau was patient throughout and made clear at each step what they were doing and why. I particularly appreciated that they listed items that needed a professional opinion rather than guessing at them.

In More Detail

Three household situations

Case Study 01 · Subang Jaya household, pre-retirement

The situation

A couple in their early sixties, both still working, knew they had substantial retirement paperwork but had never systematically looked at all of it together. Papers were in four separate places in the house.

What was done

One-Sheet Document Map appointment. The coordinator walked all four storage locations with them, produced the map and a gap note showing three categories of document they had been unable to locate.

The outcome

The couple arrived at their subsequent meeting with a licensed financial planner holding a current, accurate picture of what they held. The planner noted this made the meeting considerably more efficient.

"We had always assumed sorting through our papers would take weeks. The Map appointment took one morning and the result was something we could actually hand to our planner."

Case Study 02 · Multi-sibling household, post-bereavement

The situation

Three adult children in different cities needed to understand the paperwork left by their late father. Documents were spread across filing cabinets, boxes in two rooms and a storage unit, spanning nearly forty years.

What was done

Archive, Index and Handover engagement over nine weeks. Two of the twelve scheduled sessions were used for family walkthroughs at times the children could travel to Selangor.

The outcome

All three siblings received the same handover document. Items requiring professional attention were clearly noted. The estate process was handled with a solicitor who noted the archive had saved considerable time.

"Having the bureau handle the administrative work meant we could focus on the things that actually needed family decisions rather than spending time searching."

Case Study 03 · Couple attending Workshop Series

The situation

A couple in their mid-fifties wanted to build a permanent system rather than have someone else sort through their papers. Both had tried various filing approaches over the years that had not lasted.

What was done

Workshop Series over six weeks. They built a physical filing structure in Workshop 1, a digital twin of it in Workshop 2, and wrote their own family orientation note in Workshop 3 using the template from the workbook.

The outcome

Both participants still maintained the system eight months after the workshop series. The template pack made it straightforward to add new documents as they arrived. They used the email support window to ask follow-up questions about storage formats.

"What made the difference was being shown a consistent system and then practising it across three sessions. Each earlier attempt had collapsed because we didn't have that kind of structure behind it."
